Crane Beach

Sara Kirschenbaum

Written 24 years ago, Crane Beach (2012) is Sara Kirschenbaum’s ode to an edge of land in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Commemorating Kirschenbaum’s original text, the work is placed literally, in situ, at Crane Beach.

A multi-media endeavor, this publication is linked with an online audio recording of the poet reading the poem at the celebrated beach, where sounds of surf and seagull become part of the work.
